The ukulele is commonly associated with "music from Hawaii". Developed in the 1880s, the ukulele is based on a small guitar-like instrument with 4 nylon strings introduced to the Hawaiian Islands by Portuguese. It has gained great popularity elsewhere in the United States since the early 20th century, and from there spreads internationally. We provide private, couple, group classes for students from 5 years old up to adults, using a well-known syllabus from Hal Leonard, USA. |
